When swapping / replacing control units, please make sure you have correct ECU based on part number, hardware part number and/or software (calibration) part number.

ECUs involved in Ford PATS immobilizer system have to be coded before vehicle start is allowed. Please refer to Ford PATS (Immobilizer) for more information.

Many ECUs carry configuration ("AS-BUILT data"). Read original configuration and transfer it to the replacement ECU. For more information please refer to FCOM user manual.
