"Red"/"black" key

So called "red" key is a master key, used to program normal ("black") keys. New keys cannot be programmed using black key. ID of "red" (master) key is used to synchronize immobilizer unit and engine control unit. Loss of a red key normally means engine ECU has to be replaced.

Up to 8 keys can be usually programmed maximum.

Programming keys

  1. Turn ignition on using the "red" master key and when the LED lights, turn off the ignition
  2. Within a maximum of 15 seconds of cutting off the ignition with the master "red" key, turn on the ignition with the newly programmed black key, and when the LED comes on turn off the ignition.
  3. Within a maximum of 15 seconds after switching off the ignition, switch on the ignition with additional black key, and when the LED comes on, switch off the ignition.
  4. Repeat the operation with all the black keys to be programmed.
  5. Within a maximum of 15 seconds of turning off the ignition with the last key memorised, turn on the ignition with the red key, and when the LED comes on, turn off the ignition

Key memory check

turn the ignition on using the "red" key,The LED on the instrument panel comes on for 0.5 seconds and flashes a number of times which corresponds to the number of keys which have been programmed, including the "red" key.

Original immobilizer procedure: loss of a "red" key

Applies to immobiliser module IMM006, module ACI100, module ACI600 or instrument panel according to the motorcycle model

  1. Change the immobiliser module
  2. Change the ignition unit (e.g. Synerject, IAW59M, AEC400, ACI100, ACI600).
  3. Store data in the keys by using the new "red" key and the new black key(s).
