Renault ABS Sensors Calibration
Supported coding features by RenCOM diagnostic tool https://www.obdtester.com/rencom
What it does
- Calibrates axial acceleration, lateral acceleration, and brake pressure sensors
- Ensures correct input data for ABS, ESP/ESC, and traction control systems
- Restores proper vehicle stability and braking performance
Includes
- Calibrate axial acceleration sensor
- Calibrate lateral acceleration sensor
- Calibrate pressure sensor
When it is required
- After ABS/ESP sensor replacement
- After ABS/ESC control unit replacement
- After brake system or suspension repairs
- When ABS, ESP, or traction control warning lights are present
Conditions that must be met
- Vehicle stationary on level ground
- Steering wheel centered
- Ignition ON
- Stable battery voltage
- Diagnostic tool connected
- No active critical ABS/ESP fault codes
What happens during calibration
- Zero and reference values of sensors are stored
- ABS/ESP control unit synchronizes sensor data
- Plausibility checks of sensor signals are performed
If calibration is not performed
- Incorrect ABS or ESP intervention
- Warning lights may remain active
- Reduced braking efficiency and vehicle stability
After calibration
- Verify sensor values in live data
- Clear any fault codes
- Perform a short test drive
- Confirm correct ABS and ESP operation
