Porsche Teaching LIN Servomotors
Supported coding features by PoCOM diagnostic tool https://www.obdtester.com/pocom
What it does
- Teaches and calibrates LIN-controlled servomotors (e.g., HVAC flaps, seat actuators)
- Ensures correct position detection and movement range
- Synchronizes servomotor positions with the control unit
When it is required
- After replacement of servomotors or LIN control units
- After mechanical repair or actuator replacement
- When actuators do not reach full range or behave incorrectly
- When fault codes or warning lights related to servomotors appear
Conditions that must be met
- Vehicle stationary
- Ignition ON
- Stable battery voltage
- Diagnostic tool connected
- No mechanical obstructions in actuators
What happens during teaching
- Each servomotor moves through its full travel range
- End positions and calibration points are stored
- Control unit verifies plausibility and synchronizes positions
- Fault codes are cleared if present
If teaching is not performed
- Actuators may not operate correctly
- Incorrect airflow, seat positions, or other functions
- Fault codes or warning lights remain active
- Reduced comfort and safety
After teaching
- Verify actuator movement in live data
- Test all functions controlled by the servomotors
- Clear any remaining fault codes
- Confirm normal operation of LIN-controlled systems
