Porsche Service Interval Reset

Service interval reset is supported on all models starting with Porsche 911/Boxster 997/987, on all Porsche Cayenne, Panamera, Macan models. The service interval reset coding routine is available in instrument cluster (KOMBI) ECU.
Service intervals are not used on models 964, 993, 996, 986, 928, 944, 968 and 980.
What it does
- Resets the vehicle’s service interval indicator
- Clears mileage- and time-based service reminders
- Updates the maintenance tracking system after service
When it is required
- After completing scheduled maintenance
- After replacing oil, filters, or other service items
- When service reminder is incorrect or fault codes are cleared
Conditions that must be met
- Vehicle stationary
- Ignition ON
- Stable battery voltage
- Diagnostic tool connected
- Required maintenance completed
What happens during reset
- Service interval counters are set to zero
- Next service milestones are updated in the system
- Indicator lights and messages are cleared
If reset is not performed
- Service reminder light may remain active
- Maintenance schedule may be inaccurate
- Potential confusion for next service
After reset
- Verify service interval display in the instrument cluster
- Confirm no warning lights or messages
- Record service in maintenance log if needed
