Porsche Reset Actuation Counter
Supported coding features by PoCOM diagnostic tool https://www.obdtester.com/pocom
What it does
- Resets the actuation counter for components such as convertible top, parking brake, or other mechanical actuators
- Ensures accurate tracking of service intervals and component usage
- Prepares system for new calibration or maintenance procedures
When it is required
- After actuator replacement
- Before or after system calibration
- When actuation counter reaches service limit
- During diagnostic or troubleshooting procedures
Conditions that must be met
- Vehicle stationary
- Ignition ON
- Stable battery voltage
- Diagnostic tool connected
- Component accessible and operable
What happens during reset
- Stored actuation values are erased
- Counter is set to zero
- System is ready for recalibration or normal operation
If reset is not performed
- Maintenance or service intervals may be inaccurate
- System may limit actuator operation based on old values
- Fault codes or warnings may persist
After reset
- Perform any required calibration
- Verify component operation
- Confirm counter reset in live data
