Mechatronics Module Replacement (DL501)
What it does
- Performs clutch slip point adaptation for the 7-speed DL501 gearbox
- Resets learned clutch values
- Initializes new clutch pressure parameters
- Prepares transmission for correct shifting behavior
Used for
- Proper clutch engagement and disengagement
- Smooth gear changes
- Protection of clutch and gearbox components
When it is required
- After mechatronics module replacement
- After major gearbox repairs
- When clutch-related adaptation values are invalid
- After TCU replacement or software update
Preconditions
- Parking brake engaged
- Engine running at idle
- Shift selector lever in position P
- Transmission oil temperature between 40°C and 60°C
- Ignition ON
- Stable battery voltage
- Diagnostic tool connected
What happens during adaptation
- Existing clutch adaptation values are erased
- New clutch pressure initialization is performed
- Clutch slip point is learned and stored
- TCU performs plausibility checks
If adaptation is not performed
- Harsh or incorrect gear shifts
- Clutch slipping or excessive wear
- Fault codes or warning messages
- Reduced drivability
After procedure
- Perform required adaptation drive
- Monitor clutch and gear behavior
- Verify transmission parameters in live data
- Confirm no gearbox-related fault codes remain
