What it does
- Puts the level control (air suspension) system into maintenance mode
- Allows safe service work on suspension components
- Prevents automatic level adjustments during repairs
When it is required
- Before working on air suspension or level sensors
- Before replacing air springs, shocks, or suspension components
- During chassis or underbody repairs
- When instructed by manufacturer service procedures
Conditions that must be met
- Vehicle stationary on level ground
- Ignition ON
- Stable battery voltage
- Diagnostic tool connected
- No critical suspension fault codes
What happens during maintenance mode
- Automatic level adjustments are disabled
- Suspension system is held in current position
- System enters protected service state
If maintenance mode is not activated
- Risk of unexpected suspension movement
- Potential damage to air suspension components
- Safety risk during service work
After maintenance
- Exit maintenance mode via diagnostic tool
- Perform level calibration if required
- Verify suspension height and operation
- Clear any related fault codes
