Porsche Axial Acceleration Sensor Calibration
Supported coding features by PoCOM diagnostic tool https://www.obdtester.com/pocom
Axial Acceleration Sensor Calibration
What it does
- Calibrates the longitudinal (axial) acceleration sensor
- Provides correct acceleration and deceleration reference values
- Supports ABS, PSM, and traction control systems
When it is required
- After axial acceleration sensor replacement
- After ABS or PSM control unit replacement
- After suspension or chassis repairs
- When stability control fault codes are present
Conditions that must be met
- Vehicle stationary on level ground
- Ignition ON
- Stable battery voltage
- Diagnostic tool connected
- No active critical ABS/PSM faults
What happens during calibration
- Sensor zero point is detected and stored
- Control unit updates longitudinal dynamics calculations
- System verifies plausibility of sensor signals
If calibration is not performed
- Incorrect stability or traction control intervention
- Fault codes or warning lights may remain
- Reduced driving stability and safety
After calibration
- Verify sensor values in live data
- Clear fault codes if present
- Perform a short test drive
- Confirm proper ABS/PSM operation
