Porsche Adaptation of KESSY Control Unit
Supported coding features by PoCOM diagnostic tool https://www.obdtester.com/pocom
- Key coding
- KESSY adaptation
- Programming the unit after teaching
- Teaching ELV ECU
What it does
- Adapts and programs the KESSY (Keyless Entry & Start System) control unit
- Synchronizes keys, immobilizer functions, and steering lock systems
- Ensures secure vehicle access and engine start authorization
Includes
- Key coding
- KESSY adaptation
- Programming the unit after teaching
- Teaching ELV ECU (Electronic Steering Lock)
When it is required
- After KESSY control unit replacement
- After key replacement or adding new keys
- After ELV ECU replacement
- When keyless entry or start authorization issues occur
Conditions that must be met
- Vehicle stationary
- Ignition ON (or key present in vehicle)
- All keys available
- Stable battery voltage
- Diagnostic tool with security access
What happens during adaptation
- Keys are learned and coded to the vehicle
- KESSY control unit is synchronized with immobilizer
- ELV ECU learns authorization data
- Security data is stored and verified
If adaptation is not performed
- Engine may not start
- Keyless entry may not function
- Steering lock may remain engaged
- Immobilizer faults or warning messages
After adaptation
- Test all keys for locking and engine start
- Verify ELV locking and unlocking
- Check for fault codes
- Confirm normal vehicle access and start behavior
