Peugeot/Citroen Xenon Headlight Calibration
Supported coding features by PSACOM diagnostic tool https://www.obdtester.com/psacom
What it does
- Calibrates xenon headlight aiming and leveling systems
- Ensures correct light beam orientation and automatic leveling
- Synchronizes headlights with vehicle sensors and ECU
When it is required
- After headlight replacement
- After leveling sensor replacement or adjustment
- After suspension repairs affecting vehicle height
- When headlight warning lights appear or beam is misaligned
Conditions that must be met
- Vehicle stationary on level ground
- Ignition ON
- Stable battery voltage
- Diagnostic tool connected
- Vehicle load per manufacturer specification
What happens during calibration
- Headlight control unit measures current beam alignment
- Leveling sensors are adjusted and reference values stored
- Automatic leveling and dynamic bending systems are synchronized
- Beam intensity and orientation checked via ECU or diagnostic tool
If calibration is not performed
- Headlights may be misaligned
- Glare to other drivers
- Automatic leveling may malfunction
- Warning lights may remain active
After calibration
- Verify headlight aim and leveling function
- Check live data for sensor and control unit alignment
- Test automatic leveling under different vehicle load conditions
- Confirm warning lights are cleared
