Supported coding features by PSACOM diagnostic tool https://www.obdtester.com/psacom
Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
What it does
- Manages and programs the vehicle's TPMS system
- Monitors tire pressure and wheel sensor data
- Allows activation, deactivation, and programming of wheels and spare tires
Includes
- TPMS (DSG) activation
- TPMS (DSG) deactivation
- Wheels valves programming
- Erasing of additional wheels set
- Erase the spare wheel
When it is required
- After replacing tire pressure sensors or wheels
- After rotating or changing tires
- After TPMS control unit replacement
- When TPMS warning lights appear
Conditions that must be met
- Vehicle stationary
- Ignition ON
- Stable battery voltage
- Diagnostic tool connected
- Tires properly inflated
What happens during procedures
- ECU reads and registers wheel sensor IDs
- TPMS system stores current wheel positions
- Spare wheel sensor is erased or registered as needed
- Activation or deactivation sets the system operational status
If procedures are not performed
- TPMS warning lights may remain active
- Incorrect tire pressure readings
- Spare wheel may not be monitored
- Fault codes may persist
After procedures
- Verify all wheel sensors are correctly recognized
- Check TPMS live data for correct pressure values
- Confirm no warning lights remain
- Test system by inflating/deflating tires slightly to ensure monitoring
