Supported coding features by PSACOM diagnostic tool https://www.obdtester.com/psacom
What it does
- Replaces the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve
- Restores correct exhaust gas recirculation
- Ensures proper combustion and emissions control
When it is required
- EGR valve sticking, clogging, or electrical failure
- Fault codes related to EGR flow or position
- Poor engine performance or increased emissions
- After intake or exhaust system contamination
Conditions that must be met
- Vehicle stationary
- Engine OFF and cool
- Ignition ON (for adaptation if required)
- Stable battery voltage
- Diagnostic tool connected
What happens during replacement
- Old EGR valve is removed
- New EGR valve installed and connected
- ECU performs adaptation or reset of:
- EGR position
- Flow reference values
- System checks correct valve movement
If replacement is not performed correctly
- Engine may run rough
- Increased emissions
- Limp mode or warning lights
- Fault codes may remain active
After replacement
- Perform EGR learning or reset procedure if required
- Verify EGR position and flow in live data
- Test drive to confirm correct engine behavior
- Clear any related fault codes
