Peugeot/Citroen Brake Pressure Sensor Initialization
Supported coding features by PSACOM diagnostic tool https://www.obdtester.com/psacom
Brake Pressure Sensor Initialization
What it does
- Initializes the brake pressure sensor for ABS / ESP system
- Establishes correct baseline readings for brake pressure
- Ensures accurate braking control and stability functions
When it is required
- After replacing the brake pressure sensor
- After ABS / ESP control unit replacement
- After hydraulic system repairs affecting brake pressure
- When ABS / ESP warning lights appear
Conditions that must be met
- Vehicle stationary
- Ignition ON, engine OFF
- Parking brake applied
- Stable battery voltage
- Diagnostic tool connected
What happens during initialization
- Sensor zero point is measured and stored
- ABS / ESP control unit records reference pressure
- System monitors for correct pressure response during initial test
If initialization is not performed
- ABS / ESP may intervene incorrectly
- Brake pedal feel may be inconsistent
- Warning lights or fault codes may remain active
- Reduced vehicle safety
After initialization
- Verify brake pressure values in live data
- Test brake system carefully
- Confirm correct ABS / ESP operation
- Clear any related fault codes
