Porsche Radiator Shutter Adaptation
Supported coding features by PoCOM diagnostic tool https://www.obdtester.com/pocom
What it does
- Adapts and calibrates the radiator shutter system
- Ensures correct opening and closing of shutters for optimal cooling and aerodynamics
- Synchronizes shutter positions with ECU and climate control system
When it is required
- After radiator shutter actuator replacement
- After control unit replacement
- When shutters do not open/close correctly
- After collision repair affecting front end or cooling system
Conditions that must be met
- Vehicle stationary
- Ignition ON
- Stable battery voltage
- Diagnostic tool connected
- No mechanical obstruction in shutter system
What happens during adaptation
- ECU detects shutter end positions
- Shutter travel and response are calibrated
- Shutter positions are stored in memory
- System functionality verified
If adaptation is not performed
- Reduced cooling efficiency
- Incorrect shutter movement
- Increased fuel consumption or engine temperature issues
- Warning lights or fault codes may remain
After adaptation
- Verify shutter movement via live data
- Check for mechanical or electrical faults
- Test under different operating conditions
- Confirm correct system operation
