Hyundai/Kia Service Interval Reset

What it does
- Resets the maintenance reminder in the instrument cluster
- Clears the service due message
- Starts a new service interval countdown
When it is required
- After regular vehicle service
- After oil and filter change
- When service reminder is displayed
- After cluster or BCM replacement
Conditions that must be met
- Ignition ON
- Engine OFF
- Stable battery voltage
- No active cluster or BCM communication faults
What happens during the reset
- Service distance and time counters are set to zero
- New maintenance interval is stored in:
- Instrument cluster
- BCM (Body Control Module)
- Service reminder display is cleared
If reset is not performed
- Service warning remains active
- Incorrect service tracking
- Driver may be misled about maintenance status
After reset
- Verify service interval in the cluster menu
- Switch ignition OFF and ON
- Confirm no service warning message remains
