For most of the Ford vehicles

1. Turn the ignition to the ON position without starting the engine. For vehicles with push-button start, press and hold the START button for 2 seconds without pressing the brake pedal to put in ON mode
2. Simultaneously press the accelerator and brake pedals and hold them in the fully pressed position
3. After 3 seconds, the message center displays “Service: Oil Reset In Prog”
4. Continue to hold both the accelerator and brake pedals for 25 seconds or until the display shows “Service: Oil Reset Complete”
5. Release both pedals and place ignition in the OFF position/mode

Models 2013-

1. Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
2. Use the up and down arrows to scroll the Menu and select Settings.
3. Select Oil Life Reset and hold OK to reset.
4. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

Ford Edge, Crown Victoria

1. Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
2. Use the left steering wheel controls to scroll through the message center. Press the up/down arrow repeatedly until OIL LIFE RESET is selected.
3. Press OK to select this option and display SET XXX%.
4. Press and hold OK again for 2 seconds to reset.
5. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

Ford Fusion

1. Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
2. Press and release SETUP to display "OIL LIFE XXX% HOLD RESET = NEW".
3. Press and hold RESET for 2 seconds and release to reset the oil life to 100%.
4. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
